We loved the product while it worked but recently the power supply died after 1 year 7 months. Of course it's out of warranty and the company won't even respond to questions on how to send it for repair. Look at http://forums.rokulabs.com and you will find many other customers with exactly the same problem. So steer clear from this product and this company.
Our unit died today 14 months after we bought it. $200 for a replacement. I think not. Just bought the SqueezeBox Boom as a replacement.
I like the features and audio quality of this clock radio.Unfortunately, the quality is very poor. Mine died after 1.5 years of use. The company has not responded to my requests about getting the radio fixed.I cannot recommend this product. Also, given the exceptionally poor customer relations at Roku, you should be very wary about purchasing any Roku product.
Make sure you skim the low-rated reviews before buying this.We really liked it when it worked. The user interface was pretty poor, but the functionality and audio quality was very good. Then cut to the problem you see reported in so many reviews here -- one day, it just shut off with a dead power supply.I'm now at 10 days since I sent Roku a request to see how to get it repaired post-warranty, and support still hasn't responded at all to two queries. After that absymal support experience (and hearing here that my only option is a $199 refurb)., I purchased a Logitech 930-000054 Squeezebox Boom All-In-One Network Music Player with Integrated Speakers (Black), and though it lacks the subwoofer of the Roku, its software is dramatically more powerful, supporting many more audio formats and allowing you to instantly access millions of songs if you have a Rhapsody account. And I know from experience with other products that Logitech cares about post-purchase support.
Update 1: Like other reviewers, Roku support has ignored my emails. Before you buy, check the Roku Forums regarding the radio's power supply. Do not buy this product. Mine failed after 15 months, which appears to be about average. Roku will not stand behind this product, so when it fails, and it will, you are out of luck (and $300+). If you do, you'll be sorry.Update 2: I removed the defective PSU, and replaced it with an external 3 amp 13.8v power supply. It took about 2 hours and cost $24 to fix it.
